Metrosexual Manners

Manners are crucial for metrosexuals. If you do not have good manners and cannot carry yourself elegantly, you are never going to earn the title of a true metrosexual. You cannot just turn on and off those manners, and one of the most important times you should use your manners are when dating.
Manners are so important when it comes to dating, it can basically tell the women ahead of time whether or not you are charming or not, and charm is IMPORTANT for dating! First things first, you should make sure you are dressed appropriately (I know you are a metrosexual and can dress well, but you need to dress APPROPRIATELY). By dressing appropriately, I mean that you must make sure that you are wearing something that is right for the dating location. If you are in a fine restaurant; do not come in wearing jeans and a t-shirt, if you are out to the movies; do not show up in a suit. Make sure you are looking good, that also goes for grooming, but I’m sure I do not have to advise you on grooming properly (but just for kicks, make sure your hair is nice, you’ve showered, you shaved and you smell nice).
Second, you must make sure you are courteous. Pull the chair out for your lady friend, offer to take her coat, offer her your coat if she is cold, etc. Be a gentleman, that’s the trick. If you do not know how to be a gentleman, read the Metrosexual Planet: Guide to Metrosexual Manners, Success and Women for free by downloading it to the right (just enter your name and email, you will receive the download link within minutes). Be complementary, and compliment your date. Tell her she looks nice, this is rewarding for her as she probably spent a lot of time putting together the proper outfit and looking good, JUST FOR YOU! If you are out to dinner, make sure you are taking your time eating (don’t be a turtle though), and don’t spill any food on yourself, etc. It’s embarrassing. Avoid opinionated heated discussions and don’t be rude to her. Don’t be rude to others either! It is okay if you defend yourself or your lady friend from an obnoxious or insulting remarks, but do not be rude to anyone for no reason or if it was a legitimate mistake. This shows a bad side of you!

Definition of a Metrosexual

What is a metrosexual? Well, according to Wikipedia;
“Metrosexual is a neologism of the 2000s generally applied to heterosexual men with a strong concern for their appearance, and/or whose lifestyles display attributes stereotypically attributed to gay men. This may also include extreme vanity. Other aspects of metrosexuality may include plucking eye brows and particular attention to skin care, hair style or clothing fashions.”
That pretty much sums it up, especially the part where a metrosexual man is just a heterosexual man with a concern for his appearance and lifestyle is stereotypically attributed to gay men. This does not just mean that a metrosexual is a heterosexual man who cares about his appearance, but it also means that a metrosexual man cares about his lifestyle in general. Metrosexuals also have a strong successful vibe to them. Think of Barney Stinson, Joey Tribbiani, or even Patrick Bateman (minus the serial killer part). These are great examples of metrosexual men. The yuppie is very similar to a metrosexual, a young urban professional who has a strong concern about his looks.
Metrosexuals also have a keen sense of art, of fine-living and of success. Fine living is very important. For the metrosexual, long gone are the days of “beer makes you manly” and now it is “an apple martini with a side of lime is finer”. The metrosexual also dresses in brand name fashion, not only because it looks good, but also because it is expensive and finer than regular clothing.
In my books, metrosexuals are heterosexual men in an urban environment who have a concern for their appearance and enjoy fine living.
